Thyrsa Shuff Baker was the daughter of Henry Smith Shuff and Sarah A. Victoria Eveline McClellan. She was the wife of Leslie E. Baker. Her grandparents were James Solomon Shuff and Virginia Organ Clair Shuff, Edward W. McClellan and Martha Ellen Smith McClellan. She was the Great Granddaughter of Harrison McClellan and Elizabeth Wampler McClellan. She was also a first cousin of Dr. G.O. McClellan.
