Individual Details

Chief Thomas Frederick "Swiftwater" Hahn

(5 Nov 1926 - 23 May 2007)

Also known as Tom "Swiftwater" Hahn.

Tom served as medicine Man from 1982 to about 1997 for the Kansas-Delaware Tribe. He served as Principal Chief for the Kansas-Delaware Tribe from 1993 to July 1999, when he resigned. In June 2000, he was elected as Chairman of the General Council.

I met Tom at the Houston, Texas, Bush International Airport and he was a very pleasant man. It was great honor to be able to meet him in person. He was doing research on his ancestors and we had WilLaQueNaho in common. I helped him with a lot of research, via the Internet. Had it not been for Tom, I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to find out more about Henry Tiblow and see a picture of him for the first time. I thought we made a great team providing people with information that they might not otherwise know. We both believed in finding the documents to prove or disprove our heritage.
