Served in the Revolution. 1776 at age 15, enlisted for 12 months in Minute Regt commaned by Col. Samuel Meredith, Co commanded by Capt. James Dabney. In 1777, enlisted in Cap. David Anderson's Co. and made orderly Sgt. 1781, enlisted as volunteer in a company of militia commanded by Capt. Hughes of Louisa Co. Made Capt. Lived in Fayette County KY and then Henderson County.
