son of Daniel Betts and grandson of Thomas Betts.

Daniel and Sarah were admitted to the Church, 13 Feb 1732.
Conveyed to son Daniel Betts 3rd, a dwelling hour and land in Kent on 17 Jun 1752 and other lands on 24 Sep 1771. He conveyed lands and one-half of his house to son Abijah, 13 Aug 1767, 30 Apr 1771, and 28 Aug 1781. Reuben conveyed to his father lands in Fairfield,
His name appears in the records for the last time 26 Nov 1777 as moderator of the Wilton Society meeting - he had appeared in their minutes as early as 2 Dec 1729.
In 1777, during the march of the British forces on Danbury he was taken prisoner, but soon released.

Inventory of his estate was taken 6 Oct 1783, by Daniel & Abijah Betts, Executors of his Will. The will apparently has been lost.
26 Apr 1784, distribution of his estate notes the following sons: Daniel, eldest son, Comstock, Abijah, Timothy.
