Alvie "Bozie" Files, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on January 9, 2011 in Henryetta at the age of 88 years.
Bozie was born on December 31, 1922 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Elzie Files and Pearl Kirby. He worked as a supervisor for the Pittsburg Plate Glass Company for 42 years. He was married to the late Zada Files for 59 years.
Bozie is preceded in death by his wife Zada, his parents, brothers Arvie Files, Max Files, and Leon Files; sisters Vivian Sims and Jewell McCarty.
Bozie is survived by his son David Files and wife Brenda of Burkburnett, TX, son Terry Files of Wichita, KS, daughter Patty Thurman and husband Gary of Suffolk, VA, sister Geneva Baird of Texas, Arbin Files of Pretty Water, OK, Chris Files of Tulsa, OK, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the First Christian Church with Pastor Chris Denning officiating.
Internment will follow at the Salem Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Henryetta.
