Alice E. Ferguson
Durham - Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Critcher Ferguson, 91, resident of 4611 Holloman Rd., died Thursday morning in Durham Rest Home following declining health. She was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late Joseph Ira and Lula Shearin Critcher. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Ferguson, Sr., Mrs. Ferguson retired after 35 years of employment with Golden Belt Manufacturing Co. as an Inspector. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and the chruch's Baraca Sunday School Class.
Surviving are four sons, Walter L. Ferguson, Jr., and Julian H. Ferguson, both of Durham, Joseph B. Ferguson of Bahama and Delmus Ferguson of Statesville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchilren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ferguson was pre-deceased by two sons, James M. Ferguson and Thomas E. Ferguson; and one grandson, Mark Alan Ferguson.
