Funeral services for Larry D. Myers, 66, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash. Pastor Kathy L. Kramer, of the Elmore United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse, Wash. Mr. Myers died early Sunday morning at his home in Palouse from an apparent heart attack.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1937, at Auburn, Neb., to Homer and Clara Harpham Myers. He attended his early schooling in Nebraska and later moved to San Fernando, Calif., and graduated from the San Fernando High School in 1955. He attended the Valley Junior College in California and later transferred to the University of Montana on a full football scholarship.
He married Dorothy Anderson in 1958 and the couple were later divorced.
Larry moved to Pullman, Wash., in March of 1968 and with a partner purchased the Pullman City Tavern and renamed it "Charlie Brown's Tavern." In 1969, he started the C&L Vending operation. In 1970, he moved to Palouse ad purchased a building and built the "Wooden Nickel Tavern" in Palouse. Mr. Myers later sold all three businesses and started working for Washington State University. Mr. Myers was a maintenance mechanic at Washington State University and retired in February 2002. He married Marlene Donahue on Aug. 28, 1987, at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The couple made their home at Palouse. Mrs. Myers also worked at Washington State University.
He was a former member of the Pullman Moose.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Myers, at the Palouse home; two sons, Michael Myers of Reno, Nev., and Randall Myers of Palm Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Roxanne Davis, of Palmdale, Calif.; one stepson, Shaun Donahue, of Spokane, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Donahue, of Walla Walla, Wash.; one brother, William Myers, of West Covina, Calif.; one sister, Nancy Nustad, of Ventura, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Wash., is in charge of the arrangements.
