Perry James Garner, 71, a retired weaver, formerly of Manheim, died Thursday at 4:45 AM at Pensacola (Fla.) Hospital after a brief illness.
A resident of Manheim for 48 years, he lived in Pensacola.
Gardner worked 40 years for Raymark Inc., Manheim.
During world War II with the 693rd Ordinance Ammunition Company.
He was a life member of the Manheim Veterans of Foreign Ward, 5956, and a member of the Manheim Fire Company.
Born in Stuart, Ill., he was the son of the late Cleveland E. and I. L. Jennings Gardner.
Surviving are three children: Carol, wife of William Barnes, West Chester; Roma F., Manheim, and Perry C. with whom he lived. Two stepson, John Carr, Merchant Marines, and James Carr, Mount Joy; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mae L. Reynolds, Bluff City, Tenn.
