Forrest "Gene" Turney, 70, of Irving, died Sept. 6. Services were Sept. 7 at Village Baptist Church in Irving. Arrangements were by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Turney was born on Sept. 7, 1931, in Stigler, Okla. He was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He started religious services at 12 Oaks Retirement Center in Irving.
Survivors include his wife, Idalhia Turney of Irving; children, Jay Love and Jaynell Tarvin, both of Irving, Sonny Love of Nocona, Texas, and Gene Turney II, Linda Turney, Rhonda Bishop and Marcella Hanson, all of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters; four brothers; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
