A FamilyTree on Ancestry states his parents as Nathan Adamson 1798-1762 and Phebe Ward Humphreys 1804-1893. They married 3 Mar 1825 in Clark Co, Ohio. Two children listed Rebecca Ann b. 1826 and William Ward, b. 1847. If this is correct, he may trace back to the Adamson family of Basil Adamson of Maryland. Very different from my Adamson family.
