ELKINS - Lester C. Gabbard, 87, of Elkins, died June 10, 1999 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Nov 6, 1911, in Madison County, to Samuel P. and Eliza Walker Gabbard. He was a rancher and retired from Ozark Electric Co.
Survivors include his wife Gladys Gabbard of the home; one son, Buddy Gabbard of Delaney; three daughters, Dorothy Kilgore of Farminton, Carolyn Kilgore of Fayetteville, and Betty Duncan of Delaney; one brother, Ralph Gabbard of Crosses; one sister, Catherine Dixon of Siminole, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
...Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Crosses.
