Word Received of Passing of Mrs. Rose Allen Neal.
Danville, VA., March 24 - Word was received here today from Opelika, Ala., telling of the death there this morning of Mrs. Rose Allen Neal, for many years a well known Danville resident. She had been ill of pneumonia for the past week at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Rufus Butler.
Mrs. Neal, who was 84 years of age, lived in Danville most of her life. Her husband, Col. James M. Neal, now dead, was a prominent tobacco warehouseman and postmaster of the city under the Cleveland administration. The remains are due to reach Danville tomorrow afternoon when interment will take place here.
