Mrs. J. E. Sharp of Springfield, Ill, right, who came to Lincoln to attend the annual convention of The United Spanish War Veterans and who also spent several days visiting her parents, Mr. & Mrs. James D. Baker, and her brothers, Maurice, and L. S. of Shenandoah, Iowa, has returned to her home. Mrs. Sharp was accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Robert Knox, left, and daughter, Barbara Anne of Benton Harbor, Mich.

Lucille S. Christine, 85, of Springfield died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born Nov. 8, 1914, in University Park, Neb., the daughter of John E. and Wave Inez Baker Sharp. She married Robert V. Knox in 1938 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Paul F. Christine in 1955 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael.
Mrs. Christine was a homemaker and also served as secretary at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years. She had formerly worked for the Catholic Youth Organization.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, St. Louise DeMarillac Guild, St. Joseph Home Coterie, S and B Sewing Club and Springfield Women's Club.
Survivors: a son, Robert (Georgina) Knox of Springfield; two daughters, Barbara (Edward) Leardi of Edwardsville and Mary L. Knox of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
