Is this the same Mary Brookes, wife of Thomas Jones? He was born ca 1746, married Mary Brooks, 12 May 1763. He died about 1787; Mary died about 1797.

3. Mary Brooks Jones, b. 14 Oct 1769, Pittsylvania, married 30 Dec 1788 to Matthew Bates in Pittsylvania. Mathew was b. 17 Aug 1765, Halifax, VA, died 6 Sep 1800, Pittsylvania Co. She married (2) David Nowlin, 9 Mar 1804, Pittsylvania Co. David was born 15 Aug 1775, Pittsylvania. Mary died 6 September 1800, Pittsylvania Co.
4. Emanuel Jones, b. 14 Apr 1771, Pittsylvania VA, married 7 Feb 1799, Pittsylvania to Martha Smith (b. 6 Sep 1773, d. 1 Nov 1825, in Pittsylvania). He married (2) to Martha J. Smith, 15 Jul 1826, Pittsylvania (she was b. 1776, d. about 1853) Emanuel died 6 Jul 1838, Pittsylvania Co VA.
