Lena Estalene Jones of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Estalene was born August 10, 1930 to Radford House and Ola Mae (Crump) House in Waldron, Arkansas. Estalene was 82 years, 8 months and 15 days old.
In her earlier years, Estalene worked in Washington D.C. as a secretary. When Estalene returned to Waldron she worked at Pinewood Nursing Home in the housekeeping department for many years. She later worked as a home health aide. Estalene enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. She was always ready to go for an outing to shop. Estalene was a warm and kind hearted person. Her true passion was the love for her family. She treasured her time spent with each of them and the many memories made.
Estalene leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Lana Chesnut and husband Steve of Y-City, Arkansas, and Leisa Gibbs and husband Mark of Lonoke, Arkansas, and one son, Jeff Jones and wife Toni-Marie of Jefferson City, Missouri. Granny will forever be missed by her eight grandchildren: Shayne Gibbs, Tyler Gibbs, Carrie Parsons, Brandon Chesnut, Josh Jones, Joey Jones, Carly Jones and Jared Jones, as well as her three great grandchildren. Estalene is also survived by one sister, Melba Scott of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and one brother, Roger House and wife Yalonda of Ashdown, Arkansas. Estalene will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including a host of friends and loved ones.
Estalene is preceded in death by her parents, Radford and Ola Mae House and one sister, Eula Clopton.
Estalene's life celebration will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Mike Shaddon officiating. Interment will follow in the Chant Cemetery in Y-City, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Estalene's pallbearers will be Shayne Gibbs, Tyler Gibbs, Brandon Chesnut, Steven Chesnut, Jared Jones and Jason Parsons.
Estalene's visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
