MAXWELL Clayton H. Maxwell, 83, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2002, at home. He was born September 28, 1918 to Clarence and Eva Maxwell in Tulsa, OK. He married Olea J. Brodboll in 1941. Mr. Maxwell was a Navy veteran of WWII. He worked at Jones & Laughlin Supply for 32 years as a sales manager, retired in Tulsa, OK and started a new career as purchasing manager at Tesoro Petroleum San Antonio, TX in 1970. He was involved in civic affairs, serving on the draft board in San Antonio, TX and was also a leader on the Junior Achievement Board. He loved fishing, hunting, and nature, and in his later years he enjoyed viewing the abundant wildlife and flowers in his backyard. He traveled with his wife extensively in the U.S. and overseas. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and his wife of 55 years, Olea Maxwell. He is survived by 2 daughters, Sydney Wilson and husband, Billy of San Antonio, TX and Poppy Christine Keith and husband Robert of Houston, TX; one son Michael Maxwell and wife Cheryl of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 grandchildren Christopher Thomas of Chicago, IL and Kara Keith of Houston, TX; 1 great grandchild Kate Thomas of Chicago, IL; nephew Jim Maxwell of Duncan, OK and his sister Joyce. He was a devoted father and loving grandfather, his generosity and great sense of humor will be missed by all of his family and friends. He always had a good joke or a great story to tell. He will be remembered fondly by the many people who's lives he touched. The family would like to thank our friends at Hospice of Oklahoma County for their kindness. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 2:00 PM.
