Mrs. Thelma Critcher Knott, 74 of Rout 1, Oxford, died Sunday afternoon in Duke Hospital after a period of declining health. She was a member of Berea Grange, the Walnut Grove Homemakers Club and Enon Baptist Church. Funeral services were to be held at 2 pm today at Enon Baptist Church by the Rev. Ronald D. Hicks. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a step-son, Maurice Knott of Oxford: Two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle C. Williford of Oxford and Mrs. Frances C. Daniel of Henderson: Five brothers, W. S. "Bill" Critcher of Angier, Edward Critcher of Butner and Walter Critcher, R. T. Critcher and Calvin Critcher, all of Oxford: and three step-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers named were Dan Critcher, John Critcher, Howard Critcher, Charles Daniel, Dr. Sam Daniel, and R. T. Williford. Memorials were requested for Enon Baptist Church. Gentry, Newell and Vaughan Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.
