HARRY LEE WHITACRE, 91, passed away on December 8, 2008. Harry joined his loving wife of 65 years, Bonnie Inez Whitacre. He was a hard working railroad engineer for Southern Pacific from 1942 until he retired in 1979. Left to cherish his memory: children: Judy Philips and husband Ronie, Robert Whitacre and wife Elida, and Janice Herring; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and seven great- great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10 AM at Brookside Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 12:30 PM in Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial park.
