Hanson was named in suits for conveyance files soon after the death of his father - 1854. In one instance when the defendants were summoned, it was noted that Hanson "was not found that day". His mother's will of November 1855 does not mention him. Either he had died, or he had left Indiana and she chose not to leave him a bequest.
