A memorial greeting will be held from 2-4 pm Saturday in First Baptist Church in Sycamore, for Katherine M. Duthorn, 67, of Hampshire, who died May 13 in Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood.
She was born March 17, 1927, in Pekin, the daughter of Heinreich and Golda Mae Blakely Harberts.
She attended Keeneyville School and recived a General Education Deveopment (GED) through Elgin Community College. She married John Duthorn May 1, 1948, in St. Charles Borromeo Church in Hampshire. They celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary in 1993. She resided with her husband on a farm in Hampshire Towmship all of her married life.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lynda (Ronald) Olson of Unity, Wis., and Barbara (Michael) Caraker of Elgin; a son George (Deborah) of Union; three sisters, Norma Mae Switzer of Mesa, Ariz., Betty Laborn of Hanover Park, and Susan Lopez of Carpentersville,; a brother, Henry of Mesa, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ella Johnson Library in Hampshire.
