MRS. lEWIS IS DEAD
After a long illness, Mrs. Alice Lewis, wife of Edwad Lewis, of this city, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daisy Coy, 5100 Pensacola Ave, Chicago. mrs. Lewis went to Chicago several months ago for treatment and to be with her children, who live there, during her illness. She submitted to an operation several weeks ago but obtained no relief, and has steadily been sinking. Mr. Lewis has been in Chicago for some time. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, one son, Ray Long, and two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Coy and Mrs. Dessie Freeborn, all of Chicago. She was a member of the Methodist church here, and of the local chapter of the Order Eastern Star. The body will be brought to the family home at 307 S. West Street, Thursday afternoon, but the arrangements for the funeral will not be completed until that time.
