THOMAS GIBSON TAYLOR
Services for Thomas Gibson Taylor, age 94, were held fro Concord Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. ....Burial was in the adjoing cemetery.
....Following an illness of 13 weeks, the aged gentleman died at the home in Clanton, Saturday, June 26, at 1:40 pm. He was born in Coosa County, Feb 15, 1860, son of Aaron Taylor and Mahala Mis Taylor. Mr. Taylor was thrice married; first to Sallie Wyatt, then to Julia Parrish, and the third time to Mrs. Eva Holloway who survives him.
Two sons survive - Roland W. Taylor of Sylacauga and Jimmie M. Taylor of Clanton; three daughters - Mrs. O. H. McDowell, Mrs. I. O. Blalock, and Mrs. Sanford DeVaughn, all of Clanton; two half brothers - Lewis & Charles Easterling of Clanton; five stepsons - Artie, A. P., J. P., and Herman Holloway all of Sylacauga, Mack Holloway of Mobile; one stepdaughter, Mrs. H. M. Riley of Siluria, Ala. there are 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchild, five great, great grandchildren.
Tom & Sallie Taylor were parents of ten children, five of whom survive. Sallie Wyatt Taylor died 25 years ago last May.
