- has the same dates but gives the year as 1865. A G. W. Culp was No. 52, served in the same unit and was also from Bibb Co.

Jesse was the son of Alexander Craig Culp and Winifred Foshee. He served as a Private in Co., H, 29th Ala. Inf. during the Civil War. Jesse married Letty Mims 5 October 1865 in Autauga County, Alabama. Jesse and Letty were the parents of nine children.
