I suspect the Buell book is wrong regarding births of both Eleanor and Amos - Amos was certainly born to Nathaniel Porter's second wife. Likely Eleanor was, too, since only a single Porter grandson was named in Samuel Buell's will - a Nathaniel Porter who received a equal portion with two of Samuel's daughters.
