Her father listed only as "Johns" was age 21, born in Uniontown, worked as a smelter man. Mother was Myrtle Reeder, also born in Uniontown and age 21. She was the 2nd child in the family. J. E. Blakemore was the attending physician.

Mrs. Myrtle Johnson died 2 Sep 1964, Heights Nursing Home, Fort Smith, Sebastian Co. of metastatic breast cancer. Her residence was 10 N 15th St, Van Buren, Crawford Co. She was born 20 Sep 1897 to Julius Reeder and Sarah Haggard. Marie Tapp of Haysville, Kansas, was the informant. Buried Seabolt Cemetery near Short, OK on Sep 4th.

Jack Johns, 67, retired Van Buren, Arkansas policeman, died Sunday in a Van Buren hospital. The Uniontown, Arkansas native also had been an employee of the now defunct Van Buren smelter and was a member of First Free Will Baptist church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 p.m. at the new Seabolt Chapel at the Seabolt Cemetery between Short and Nicut, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Seabolt cemetery under the direction of Ocker funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Suvivors include his wife; two sons; two daughters; three sisters; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of the home; two sons, Julius of Greenville, TX and Garland, of Big Spring, TX; two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Fears of Ft. Smith and Mrs. Marie Tapp of Haysville, Kans.; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Clegg of Van Buren, Mrs. Ruth Moore of Sallisaw, and Mrs. Violet Meadors of Van Buren; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
