Email of Peggy Chapman dated 28 Jul 2000: Lipscomb Torian b. 1801-1805 Halifax Co VA, d. c1874, McCracken Co KY married abt 1824 to Mary Hayden believed to be daughter of Richard Haden & Lucy Goode. Torian migrated from Halifax to Trigg Co 1838, Christian Co by 1855 & MacCracken for the 1870 census. Richard Haden bought items at estate sale of George Torian in Christian Co KY 1 Mar 1827.

The 1830 census of Hopkinsville, Christian Co KY lists a Richard P. Haden, age 40-50 with a young male age 10-15 in his household. The females were 2 girls age 15-20 and a lady age 30-40. Richard's brother James and half-brother Nathan also are found in Christian Co in 1830.

Nancy, age 37. Thomas H., age 29, carpenter. John H. age 9, Mary G. age 6, Luella age 4, Minnie P. age 5 months. Perhaps Thomas is recently widowed. George E., age 23[28?], still seems to be living at home - listed as "Insane".
Patrick Lewis, carpenter, age 50 and born in Ireland. Henry Gooden, age 22, b. KY and a farm hand, also lived with the family.

Lipson Torian, white male, widower, died 19 Feb 1874 in Paducah from dropsy, age 71. Parents were listed as Andrew and Sally[?] Torian, born in VA.
