Equity Court Case 22-530 Ewing/McLean vx. Ewing/Breathitt, 13 Nov 1824
Ephraim L. McLean & Polly his wife, formerly Polly Ewing, and Wm W Ewing, and Young Ewing by Ephraim Love McLean, and Elin Ewing complain that in 1823, their father, Reuben Ewing, departed this life seized of several tracts of land and several slaves; Jacob & Mathias and Cornelius his children; Tom & Lucy and their children Mariah, Louise, Westly & Morrow; Sally and children Mariah, George, Philip, & Betty.. His will directed an equal distribution of his property among his children to the discretion of this executors. Executors were Finis Ewing, Wm Y. C. Ewing, John Breathitt & Ede Ewing [probably Eph. for Ephraim Ewing]. Breathitt and Ede Ewing qualified. The executors have purchased additional slaves: July and her children Hannah, Tom, Louise and Anthony.. The complainants with the exception of ephraim McLean who intermarried with Polly, and Betsey & James Ewing, infant heirs of Reuben Ewing, dec'd, are solicitious for a division of the real estate in Logan County and the slaves. Wm. W. Ewing is entitled to £100 with interest as a legacy in the will of his grandfather, William Whitsett, dec'd.
11 Feb 1825. On 31 Dec 1824, the slaves were divided by M. B. Morton, Hezekiah Brown, and William Kerchival, Jr. [They don't match the above list exactly]

Ewing, Young W. Ewing, Ellen C. King & Robert B. King her husband, Andrew McLean & Elizabeth C. McLean his wife, Ephraim L. McLean and Mary B. his wife, and James W. Ewing.
