This William said to have married Isabell Graves, daughter of Thomas Graves on 25 Nov 1805. Ann "Nancy" Lea Graves was his second wife.
Will-written 6 Oct 1833. Son Elijah (slaves and money already advanced); daughter Ann S. Graves the lot on "which I reside at Caswell Court House adj. brother Thomas Graves and to the blacksmith shop on the east including spring used by John C. Harvey."; also wife to have plantation lately purchaswd from Thomas Gunn on Country Line Creek. Wife to provide for children until each is 21 years and youngest to get same as 3 eldest, Elijah, Ann S. & Elizabeth B.
Exec: brother Elijah Graves and brother-in-law Calvin Graves and son Elijah Graves.
Wit: Nancy Yancy, N. M. Roan, Abner Miles
William is buried Graves Family Cemeter on the property of the Elijah Graves house.
William & Nancy's home, known as the Graves-Florance-Gatewood House now houses the Richmond-Miles History Museum.
