Daniel Beal
(19 May 1799 - 7 Dec 1847)
Daniel was a cabinet maker by trade. He moved to Giles County, Tennessee as a young man and married Nancy Gibson. The young family moved to Crawford County, Missouri in 1831, cleared land for a home, and settled near what is now Verona. In the later part of 1833 they moved to what is now Greene County, Missouri, Campbell Township, four miles west of Wilson Creek. Owning 288 acres, Daniel and his family made a farm, where he lived the rest of his life. He was a Democrat and of the Baptist faith.
