Mary Echols (-1800) married Thomas Wynne, a son of Col. William Wynne.
On 18 July 1763 Richard Echols made a deed of gift in Halifax County to Thomas Wynne “for love and affection Richard Eckhols bears his daughter, Mary, the wife of Thomas Wynne and the mother of said Obediah.”
His Wilkes County, Georgia, will named his wife and children, Obediah, Rhoda, Lucy, and Thomas (will dated 29 Aug. 1789, recorded 7 April 1795). His heirs agreed on the division of his slaves 6 May 1795. Obediah was appointed temporary administrator of the estate of Mary Wynne 7 November 1800. “They had 2 Sons & 4 Daughters.”


Married Thomas Wynne and had son named Obadiah: Halifax DB 4, p.341:
18 Jul 1763 Richard Echols of Halifax to Thomas Wynne, son of Col William Wynne and his wife Mary and his son Obaciah Wynne. For love & affection of sd Echols to his daughter Mary the wife of said Thomas Wynne and Mother of sd Obadiah Wynne. A total of 353 acres in three tracts on the Banister River.
