An inventory of the estate of William Taylor who drowned in an overturned canoe on Christmas Day, 25 Dec 1750, was taken by Wm. Kinchen, Jr., administrator, on 15 May 1751, as reported in May Court 1751.

The inventory also seems to indicate that the William Taylor who drowned was in some way related to Etheldred Taylor, Jr., of Surry (now Southampton) Co., VA, who married Patience Kinchen.
