The funeral of Mrs. L. Palmer occurred here today. She was the widow of L. Palmer and they with their family resided for a number of years on the Palmer plantation near Crystal Springs. Mrs. Palmer died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Alford in Brookhaven, her body being brought here by motor for interment on the family burial lot at Poplar Springs Cemetery. mrs. Palmer was in her 87th year. She was the daughter of the late Col. H. A. Catron of Union City, TN, before marriage being Miss Eliza Jane Catron. Four sons: H. C. Palmer of Baton Rouge, LA; B. M., W. F., and C. W. Palmer, all of Crystal Springs; and two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Spence of Hazlehurst; and Mrs. J. A. Alford, of Brookhaven, survive to mourn her loss....
