"The Yazoo City Weekly Whit"; Yazoo City, MS 15 May 1846. From the Grenada "Chronicle" on the 8th: devastating tornado on the 7th ...list of killed so faras is known: included James Whitsett, son of Dr. S. Whitsett.The Whitsett book states he was at school at the time the tornado struck. Soon after his decease the family retuned to Nashville.
