Elihu was elected to the NY state legislature in 1850.
From the WAYNE SENTINEL of Palmyra, dated 28 Jan 1831. Infant son of Elihu Durfee died 24 Jan 1831 in Palmyra.
.....dated 16 Jan 1835: Stephen Durfee, age 7, son of Elihu, died 15 Jan 1835.
