In 1840 Madison Co KY Census Index there is also a George and a John B. Harrison as well as Edward Gabbard. In 1830, Elijah Harrison is found; in 1820 Elisha & Frederick Harrison.
1850 Madison Co KY Census: p.240, Household 587. Nathaniel Harrison age 25, farmer, born Madison Co. Sally A. age 25. Nancy age 4. Elizabeth age 2. Next door at #588 is Edward Gabbard age 51, wife Sally 50, Margaret 16, and Jane 14. John W. Gabbard is at #589, age 30, Alethy also 30, with 9 children (including a Jacob, Sally, Edward) and Jacob Gabbard age 80. On p.239, #574 is Jacob Gabbard, age 25, Mahaly age 26, Mary age 3, Nancy age 2, and Edward age 1.
Other Harrisons in Madison Co in 1850 include on p.235 #520 John B. Harrison age 43, Sally age 33, Shelton age 17, Elisha age 15, Elizabeth age 13, Lafayette age 12, Ellen ?Ann age 10, Nancy age 8, Hannah age 4, Margaret age 2; and p.238, #558 is George Harrison, age 41, Rachel age 37, Isaac age 18, Nancy age 13, John B. age 11, J?? , male age 7, Elisha age 5, and Minerva age 1.
The following land grant offered a surprise and a middle initial for Nathaniel.

Gabbard's line of his 100 acres. New lines. chesnut & dogwood; 2 small black gums; large pine; a pine; a chesnut, chesnut Oak & black gum; a chesnut and black oat; a white oak & chesnut; 2 Spanish oaks & black gum on ridge between Hooton & Raccoon branch; black oak & chesnut oak; white oak & Spanish oak; to the beginning corner of John Hudsons 180 acre survey; with his line; 2 white oaks; a poplar & white oak; a white oak & small kidney; a hickory & spruce pine; a beech & white oak a corner to sd Gabbards 100 acres; line of same; 2 shite oaks; new line to the beginning. Family is in 1860 & 1870 Census, Schuyler Co IL, Buena Vista Twp. Based on the birthplaces of the children as given, the family moved between the births of Amanda in 1857 and birth of Susan in 1860.

From the "Rushville Times" of Sep 24 1880. Mr Nathan Harrison, an old citizen of Buenavista township, died on Sunday of inflammation of the bowels; aged 56 years.
