1840 Census - Simpson Co KY has Joshua Spencer, Catherine's brother married to Nancy Haden, daughter of Samuel H. Haden. Age 20-30 with a female of the same age. Two boys - one under 5, one 5-10. Next door was Hezekiah Proctor who was the same age & had a wife the same age, also two small boys. Hezekiah had married Catherine M. Spencer Morton in 1836 after the death of her first husband, John Morton. Catherine's parents were David Spencer and Elizabeth C. Epperson - she was named as Catherine Morton in her father's will, 1835.
