(13 Sep 1842 - 9 Mar 1925)

Bio, from Find-a-Grave:
Company A, 115 New York Infantry
At age 21 on July 23, 1862 George Blowers enlisted in Mayfield, Montgomery Co, NY to serve a three year term in Co A, 115th Inf. Captured in action on Sept 15 and paroled on Sept 16 at Harpers Ferry, CA along with 11,000 other men, who were armed and equipped in the best style, with plenty of ammunition, holding one of the most defensible positions in the US. But General Miles for some reason, surrendered and "the Union Army was reduced and 11,000 good fighting men as ever shouldered a musket were doomed to bear the taunts of their enemies at home and abroad as "Harpers Ferry's Cowards". The prisoners were paroled the next day and allowed to depart in peace.
Wounded in action Feb 20, 1864 at Olustee, FLA.  Mustered out with the company on June 17 1865 at Raleigh N C
