"The mortal remains of Ephraim St. Loius are buried in the cemetery adjoining St. Joseph church in Phlox, Wisconsin, the grave being marked by tin covered cross which was originally on the church." From "Reverend Philip St. Louis Pioneer Missionary of Northwestern Wisconsin," by C. Luke Leitermann, St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, WI, Jan 29, 1934.
(During a physical search of the cemetery in October 2010, neither a tin covered cross nor gravestone for Ephraim could be located.)
