Notes
Marriage
The marriage record indicates that Theophane Bertrand was an "avocat", residing in the parish of Saint-Jacques. Alexina also resided in this parish. The handwriting makes it difficult to be sure of her parents' names, especially her Father's given name and her mother's maiden name. I will look to other sources to corroborate these. Also, she was a minor, and was given permission to marry by her mother, her father being deceased.Witnesses were Alfred Roy and Louis Napoleon Duverger.
Residence (family)
There is a break in the available city directories from 1878 to 1881, so I can't know when Theophane and Alexina moved. According to the 1881 Census, Alexina's widowed mother, Pelagie Pariseau, was living with them.Residence (family)
