Birth
The abstract of the baptismal record gives the parents' names as Michael Lynch and Honoria Egan. This matches the information that I previously had, that Thomas was born in County Clare in about 1867 to Michael Lynch and Ann Eagan. Ann Eagan and Honoria Egan are fairly close. Some records from later in his life, including his Social Security application and his death certificate, give his birth date as 17 or 18 March 1867 -- a bit off, but some vagueness as to birth date is not at all uncommon among immigrant ancestors I have researched. The baptism record, as the primary source, must be considered the most reliable.Leaba Shíoda is sometimes spelled Labasheeda.
