Individual Details
Whiting KELLOGG
(Abt 1758 - 16 Jan 1838)
Timothy Hopkins, in "The Kelloggs in the Old World and the New", writes:
"His children were all sick at one time with typhoid fever, and he, being old and feeble, was taken to the house of his nephew, Roswell Kellogg, where he died."
Apparently, this outbreak of typhoid fever killed both parents, as well as all but one of the children then at home. Richard was married by this time. Elizabeth was somehow spared -- perhaps she was living elsewhere at the time.
