Mrs. Edward (Marion) Laundrie, 90, Green Bay, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at a local nursing home. Born in Iron Mountain, Mich., on Jan. 25, 1914, she is the daughter of the late Jules and Lydia Axberg.
On Aug. 29, 1936, she married Edward A. Laundrie and he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2004. Marion enjoyed fishing, camping, singing, feeding the birds, and times spent up north. Spending time with her family was number one. She always said, "You can't beat fun!"
She is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Tom and Anne Laundrie and Lynn (Bob) Klawitter, all of Green Bay; eight grandchildren, Susan (Le) Ma, Rachelle (Ray) Hulbert, Cindy (Robert) Marshall, Alison Laundrie, Matt Laundrie, Charlie (Stacey) Laundrie, Ben (Janalee) Laundrie and Margie (Matt) Reichwald; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Ed; her son, Richard (Dick) Laundrie; four sisters, Mildred, Minnie, Margie and Myrtle; four brothers, Roy, Albert, Elmer and Carly.
Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Parish wake service 7 p.m. this evening. Thursday visitation will continue at the funeral home prior to the funeral. Funeral Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Church with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Bay Settlement.
