At the time of his marriage, David was living in the parish of Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil. He was still a minor (probably under the age of 21), and permission for him to marry was given by his guardian and relative, Jacques Muir. His father, also named Jacques Muir, was by then deceased. In the record, "Muir" is spelled "Mure."

Birth

Death record gives age as 71, suggesting a birth year of 1818, while the Find-a-Grave memorial lists it as 1812. Considering that he was married in 1833, I think the latter is much more probable.
