Obituary, from Find-a-Grave:
Agnes Laundrie, 79, Green Bay, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at a local nursing home with her family by her side. Born in Linden, N.J., Jan. 11, 1925, she is the daughter of the late William Boyd and Camilla (Porter) Wilson who emigrated from Scotland. Agnes was the first born with two younger brothers. Education later became important to her, as she was not able to complete high school due to caring for her mother who was ill at the time.
She met her faithful husband while he was stationed at an Army base in New Jersey and where she was a USO volunteer. When the couple moved to Green Bay in the early 1950s, she worked in the Green Bay Packer ticket office. Agnes later sold Avon and also worked at Gene Heiser Jewelers and Montgomery Ward's. After their move to Ashwaubenon, Agnes became involved with the Ashwaubenon Historical Society for which she chaired their Centennial Book committee in 1972.
She loved to read. She especially loved tending to her numerous rose bushes. Agnes was artistic and enjoyed oil painting, ceramics and various crafts. She had an "I Love Lucy" sense of humor and brought much laughter and antics into the lives of those who knew her. Agnes will be sadly missed by her husband, family, relatives, friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carlton H. Laundrie, Green Bay; their three children (and spouses), Carl and Wanda Laundrie, Flagler Beach, Fla., Kathy and David Charles, Green Bay, and Bob and Ann Laundrie, Wellington, Fla.; stepson and spouse, Sherman and Dorothy Laundrie, Townsend; 15 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Wilson and their son, Karl, Pen Argyl, Penn.; and many nieces and nephews.
