James M. Burkart
James "Jim" M. Burkart, 79, New Franken, died Friday morning, January 11, 2013. He was born in Green Bay on December 13, 1933 to the late Alois and Rose (Laundrie) Burkart.
On May 23, 1959 Jim married Germaine H. DeGreef at SS Peter and Paul Church, Green Bay.
He farmed in the New Franken area until his retirement. His enjoyments include car trips, stopping for ice-cream, playing cards and family gatherings.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Germaine, and their five children, Randy (Brenda) Burkart, New Franken, Dennis (Janice) Burkart, Gary (Connie) Burkart, all of Green Bay, Cheryl (Rick) Koenig, New Franken, Jean (Jeff) Roberts, Fl., seven grandchildren, Kim (Brett) Simmons, Kristin (Brandon) Simmons, Julie (friend Damon) Burkart, Lance Anderson, Mitch School, Amy (friend Brandon) Koenig, Jessica (friend Cory) Koenig, one sister, Lavern Conard, Luxemburg, four brothers in law & four sisters in law, Darrel (Mary) Panure, Carol (Bob) Kassner, Joanne (Dick) Materniak, Judy (Bob) Ferguson, all of Green Bay, nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by, one grandchild, Jordyn Burkart, three brothers & three sisters in law, Farrell (Adeline) Burkart, Leo (Gladys) Burkart, Ray (Rosemary) Burkart, one sister & two brothers in law, Evelyn (Louis) Berg, Elmer Conard, his father in law and mother in law, Norbert and Helen DeGreef.
Friends may call at St. Kilian Church, New Franken, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 between 9:00 am and 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Andrew J. Kurz officiating. Burial in St. Kilian Cemetery, New Franken.
