Marjorie M. (Brice) Duchateau passed away Monday, June 27, 2011, at the age of 88 years. She was born May 21, 1923, in Green Bay. She was the daughter of the late Leo Kurowski and Virginia Besaw. Marjorie married Garfield T. Brice Oct. 21, 1947, at Montello, Wisconsin. Garfield died Sept. 12, 1974. They were married 28 years. Marjorie will always be remembered for the unconditional love she held for her children. She will be forever sadly missed by her family and all that had the privilege to have known her. Mother, now you're in the Lord's loving hands with no worries. Love you Big Bunches!
Survivors include her ten sons: Robert, Tom (Lynn Pleau), Gary (Mary Plopper), Roger (Cynthe Barth), Richard (Darlene Pleau), Steve (Villina Delveaux), Mike (Isabelle Trimble), Joseph (Paula Johns), Wayne (Lisa Boyea), Dykes Jeffrey (Angie Lair); six daughters: Shirley, Dianna (J.R. Statz), Margaret (Tom Dorn), June (Gregg Tallman), Jane (Todd Massey), Lori (Brian Moore); 42 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; three half-sisters, Arleen Snider, Enice Larsen, Verona George; two half-brothers, Larry Kurowski and Ed Kurowski; two step daughters, Jackie Crooks and Dorothy Lichtenwald; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Pokorny; brother Carl Kurowski; brother, Russel who died in infancy; son Jimmy who died in infancy; daughter-in-law, Anna Perry; son-in-law, Jerry Berthiamume; 1 step daughter, Betty VanPay.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave., after 12 noon until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 1 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. John Girotti officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
