Irma (Krampitz) Desmarais, 81, of Broad Street, Middletown, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Thursday (November 13, 2008). She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Desmarais. 
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of Frederick and Leokadia (Kirschner) Krampitz. Before retiring, she worked as a parts clerk for Baumert Sales. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Middletown. She served as the Financial Secretary at the church, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and served on the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Mary-Martha Guild and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. 
Irma leaves behind a sister, Gertrude Borden; a sister-in-law, Glenna Krampitz; a brother-in-law, John Porrini, Sr.; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Hugo and Herman Krampitz and three sisters, Betty Gallagher, Elsie Porrini, and Paula Krampitz. 
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday (November 18) at 11 a.m. at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1055 Randolph Road, Middletown, CT. 
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.  A calling hour will take place at the Church 1 hour prior to the services (10-11 a.m.).
