Victor A. Desmarais, 66, of 37 Douglas St., died Monday at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I.
He leaves his wife, Adeline (Gallas) Desmarais; two sons and two daughters; two brothers, Albert Desmarais of West Warwick, R.I. and Ernest Desmarais of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a half-brother, Armand Bellville of Coventry, R.I.; a sister, Constance Davis of East Bend, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Desmarais was born in West Warwick, R.I., son of Victor and Amanda (Tetrault) Desmarais and had lived in Uxbridge the past 26 years.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the Uxbridge Post Veterans of Foreign War.
He worked as a security guard at Dean Junior College for many years, retiring in 1980 due to illness.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Snowling Road, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
