Walter LaMeau, age 21, single, was a toolmaker in an auto factory. He is listed as an adopted son of the head of the household, Patrick Sheridan, single, age 61. Also listed in the family was Elizabeth Sheridan, single, age 56, the sister of Patrick. The 1930 Census shows Elizabeth living with Walterand his family, and listed as a stepmother. (This census also states that she was a widow. An error?) Presumably, Walter was taken in and cared for by Patrick and Elizabeth after the breakup of his family.
