Obituary of Luella Bruette Brannen:
Luella Bruette Brannen, 92, of Chattanooga, died Friday afternoon, March 7, 2008, after a long life being a devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Brannen was born on Oct. 2, 1915, in Marinette, Wi., to Adolf and Molly Bruette. She met Frank Brannen while working as a nurse in Detroit, where they were married, and then moved to Chattanooga in 1940. She was a member and had been an active volunteer at OLPH, the Sisters of Charity and the Chattanooga Food Bank for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank Brannen; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her four children, Renie Brown and her husband, Fred Pasteur, Betty (Jerry) Rutherford, Frank "Skip" (Peggy) Brannen Jr. and John "Moonpie" (Jacquie) Brannen; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or the Chattanooga Food Bank.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
